The dolphins in Thyborøn (evening)

The lecture has unfortunately been canceled due to illness

Lecture with whale researcher, Carl Kinze, and wildlife photographer, Lars Mikkelsen, about the dolphins in Thyborøn

This lecture is in Danish only

On Friday, October 18, you will have the opportunity to hear the exciting story of some very special animals that have been found in Thyborøn Kanal since 2021.

The bottlenose dolphin is probably the world's best-known species of dolphin, as many remember the bottlenose that starred in the American television series, Flipper, in the 1960s. Partly because of the TV series, partly because of the playful nature of dolphins, the dolphin is an animal that many people have a fondness for. Understandably, because there is hardly anything more fascinating and impressive than experiencing a playful dolphin in action!

Since 2021, we have been following the behavior of the dolphin herd from our safari boats, and we have had great pleasure in being able to provide thousands of people with the amazing experience of observing the natural behavior of the animals as they hunt, interact with each other and their surroundings.

The two speakers you can meet in Thyborøn on the 18th is probably the two people in Denmark who know the most about these dolphins.

Carl Kinze is Denmark's leading whale specialist and has written several books about whales.

Lars Mikkelsen is one of Denmark's most skilled wildlife photographers, who has been following the dolphins in Thyborøn since day one. He has spent countless hours in his boat observing and photographing the dolphins.
