Seafood safari

- a gastronomically unique experience

Seafood safari

The Limfjord and the North Sea – which we live right in between – are full of the most fantastic, delicious and tasty produce. The guide has chosen some of the season's best before the trip – for example the edible crab, mussels, and completely fresh fish from the Fish Auction in Thyborøn. Together we will also go hunting, dressed in waders, as we go searching for gourmet products in the western part of the Limfjord. Depending on the season, we look for oysters, mussels, glasswort, and common sea buckthorns.

After the search we light up a charcoal barbecue and a gas burner. Then we taste, experiment with, and enjoy the tasty food. The guide has a variety of suggestions for different tastes, but you will also take part in making it a unique taste experience. With the guidance from our knowledgeable guide you prepare the products.

We enjoy the menu with a glass of cold white or sparkling wine.
The shellfish and herbs you collect and haven't eaten may be brought home after the safari.

The gourmet experience oyster and seafood safari includes

  • 2-3 hours of seafood safari with a nature guide

  • Preparing/cooking over a charcoal barbecue supplementet with the season's herbs and fresh fish form the fish auction
